Compact, high-performance power supply for up to eight effects

The Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-2 Pro power supply unit provides an affordable way to power up to eight effects on your pedalboard. Its 70 x 140 x 30mm aluminium housing, which weighs just 200 grams, features eight isolated, filtered, and short-circuit protected outputs that supply between 9 and 18 volts - suitable even for those current-hungry multi-effects units. This robust and compact unit is supplied with eight 60cm DC cables, a Y-cable for connecting two pedals to one output, and the corresponding 12-volt power adapter.

Power your effects with 9 to 18 volts

The Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-2 Pro provides six 9-volt outputs with a constant current of 300mA, while the two remaining ports can be operated at 9, 12, or even 18 volts and up to 500mA - selectable via the two recessed mode switches on the rear side of the housing. This ensures that even digital effects units with high demands in terms of power can be operated without problems. Thanks to the ISO-2 Pro's short-circuit and overvoltage protection as well as the isolation of its individual sections, the effects that are connected can be reliably supplied with power and protected at the same time, in addition to which noise and hum are eliminated. What is more, each of the eight outputs features a green LED to indicate its current operating status.

A potent and affordable power pack for pedalboard freaks

Effects units in varying numbers are, and have long been, an essential part of any musician's setup - regardless of whether they play guitar, bass, or keyboards. The affordable PowerPlant ISO-2 Pro and its eight isolated, filtered, and overvoltage-protected outputs supplies the connected effects with up to 18 volts of power at a constant current of 300 to 500mA and also provides a clear and uncomplicated overview while saving space at the same time.

About Harley Benton

Since 1998, the Harley Benton brand has been catering for the needs of numerous guitarists and bassists. In addition to an extensive range of stringed instruments, Thomann's house brand also offers a wide choice of amplifiers, speakers, effect pedals, and other accessories. In total, the range includes over 1,500 products. Built by established names in the industry, all Harley Benton products combine quality and reliability at attractive and affordable prices. The continuous expansion of the range ensures that Harley Benton always provides new, exciting, and innovative products that keep players perfectly in tune with the musical world, day after day.

Compact aluminium housing for mounting on or under your pedalboard

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the PowerPlant ISO-2 Pro can be easily attached to the underside of most standard pedalboards, thus freeing up more space for effects on the top side. The DC cables included in the scope of delivery should be completely sufficient for most requirements, and they are of such high quality that disturbances in the electricity supply are eliminated right away. A Y-cable is also included with which the power from two of the ISO-2 PRO's outputs can be combined as a cumulative voltage, e.g. two 9V outputs can be combined to generate 18V.

Probably all the power you'll ever need
albertotp 20.05.2019
It's incredible what they achieved with this design, including many features of more expensive products in a relatively compact format and for a decent price. Quality-wise I cannot complain about it and I had no issues and no noise powering 6-7 pedals including digital tuner, modulation, looper, and using 12V and 18V options.
Many other reviews already mentioned that the power adapter could be more robust. Other thing is that all DC cables have 1 straight and 1 angled connection, which may not fit everyone's need. All DC cables have the same length and are too long, which is better than being too short, but for small boards plenty of cable management is required. I had to buy 2 additional short DC cables for it.

I've made a full review and isolation test here: youtu.be/NZqCcpu81rY

I've also managed to fit it under the Spaceship 50c by making slight modifications to the board: youtu.be/h8Lkg5a4ahg

Great value for money
Domagoj Š. 27.05.2022
I bought the Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-2 Pro almost 3 years ago. Since then, it's in operation a couple of hours each day (give or take) in a bedroom setting, powering various effects pedals through all 8 outputs.

The Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-2 Pro includes everything necessary to get started with using a power supply - no additional purchases are necessary. The power supply unit comes in a sturdy brushed aluminium housing that feels robust in hand. It's lightweight, small, and fits snugly underneath the Harley Benton SpaceShip 60 pedalboard. The included plugs (cables) are typical cables and don't seem of bad quality. The power adaptor looks and feels like cheap plastic, but it has proven to be reliable so far.

The unit produces no noise and introduces no noticeable noise to the signal chain. There is no dedicated power button so it's good to have a switchable power strip on hand if it's necessary to switch the unit on and off on demand.

Overall, the Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-2 Pro provides great value at a reasonable price point. It's a particularly great purchase for those noodling around at home or at practice, looking for a first proper power supply to replace "daisy chains."

If it had a bit higher ampage, Cioks would have a real contender

If you only use analog pedals (these tend to draw VERY little current) you absolutely do not need more than this. Being fully isolated under €100 bucks is great. To be that under €70 WITH extra selectable voltage on two outputs? I mean, you could spend more money, but why?

As for digital pedals... it depends. Digital pedals ALOT more power than analog ones and at 300mA max current per ouput, loads of pedals will be out of range. Keep in mind you should always leave some current to account for spikes, so if your pedal needs 280mA and you have 300mA available, it will work, but you might be unlucky if your mains craps out on you. The good news is that since the power supply has all isolated outputs, you'll only blow the one pedal.

Silver linings I guess...

Great value in a small package
The Gear Reviewr 07.04.2022
With a good selection of plugs I was able to connect all of my pedals with ease and it has really streamlined my set-up. No issues with reliability or noise so I'm very satisfied.
