Ich habe die Saite als Ergänzung zum Bariton-Set gekauft, da die mitgelieferte G-Saite mir nicht gefällt.
Erstens ist Saitenstärke mir zu gering gewesen und zweitens finde ich "plain" (also nicht umwickelte) G-Saiten ab einer gewissen Stärke generell nicht gut.
Also flugs nach einer etwas stärkeren, umwickelten Alternative gesucht. .024 Stärke passt, umwickelt ist sie auch, wunderbar. Die etwas stärkere G-Saite ist etwas straffer, somit lassen sich Powerchords sehr ordentlich schrubben ohne das etwas scheppert. Sie ist aber auch nicht so stramm, das Bendings zur Qual werden.
An der Qualität der Elixir-Saiten gibt es überhaupt nichts zu meckern - die Saiten halten lange, intonieren gut und klingen meiner Meinung nach genau so gut wie alle anderen Markensaiten auch.
Nur der Preis ist für eine Einzelsaite einfach unverschämt. Sind die nicht umwickelten Einzelsaiten noch sehr vernünftig im Preis, hauts einen hier fast aus den Socken, die einzelne Saite kostet beinahe halb so viel wie ein ganzer Satz.
Diese Politik sollte Elixir vielleicht noch einmal überdenken, das ist allerdings auch der einzige Kritikpunkt.

Des cordes durables et agréables

J'ai testé cette corde pour completer un jeu baryton que j'installe sur ma 7 cordes, et je suis très satisfait de leur tenue dans le temps ( elles sonnent encore vraiment bien 6 mois après leur installation si on en prend soin ). De plus, elles sont très douces au toucher sans dépérir, même après 3 mois. Cependant le son est moins brillant et à moins d'attaque que les cordes nickel classiques, c'est leur seul défaut pour moi. Au final le rapport qualité/prix est sans appel, car c'est 50% à 100% plus cher que les autres jeux, mais vous les gardez 3 fois plus longtemps !
