Bought this E string for a custom bass strings gauge. Been a long time Elixir strings user. This newer formula with ultra thin coating feels and sounds even more natural and classic as far as roundwound tones go. Seems resistent to corrosion just like it's supposed to be.
Good thing the possibility to buy single strings for your own gauge, also with these Elixirs, which are your best bet as coated strings, un my opinion.

Ich bin auf Elixir Saiten aufmerksam geworden, da mein Ibanez Bass von Werk aus mit diesen ausgestattet war. Je complète avec une 40, une 60, une 80 et une 130. Le son est très bon, clair comme je les aime et que dire de la longévité... Génial ! Même si ça peut un peu manquer de patate sur une basse "bas de gamme", mais c'est une question de goût personnel.

llevo utilizándola poco tiempo, pero de momento el sonido me ha parecido excelente, metálico pero no estridente, muy profesional, me ha gustado mucho. Compré solo la cuarta cuerda para mi bajo y ha dejado al resto de cuerdas (nuevas también de la marca Fender) como si fueran viejas.
Estoy muy satisfecho. He conseguido más definición y vida en el sonido.
