The Paul to rule them all
Reinier Klaassen 31.03.2021
Epiphone used to be a brand that was frowned upon by guitarists looking for something that would hold up in the professional environment. However, with their 2020 lineup, Epiphone have redeemed themselves.
When I got the guitar I was floored by how light it was. Mine barely weighs 4 kilograms! The finish was really well done as well. If you were to cover the headstock and put it in a showroom full of Gibsons it would be hard to tell them apart.
The fret ends were dressed beautifully, which is great for playing style. I did have to polish the frets as there were file marks on them. Just move take some 400 grit sand paper and move up the grits. The neck shape is nice and fat, but doesn't feel uncomfortable to my hands at all.
For the money, the pickups sound pretty good. The guitar really sustains and the low output pickups help with that.
All in all I would highly recommend this guitar, but be prepared to do some maintenance on the frets.

incredible attention to detail considering the price.
Setup was perfect from factory (for me at least), intonation was already spot-on.
The probuckers give an almost exact Gibson sound.
Neck feels very good for me but this is a personal choice.
The guitar feels at least twice as expensive.

Spotted grain/pores with white streaks on the fretboard, and the frets need a little polishing but over all very satisfied
