When I turned the distortion on, the sound was aggressive and harsh as ever.
Anonymous 06.06.2016
I've used a set of this strings in my Corvette $$ 5 with a Darkglass B7K. I play in two Metal bands, and bought them as a recomendation for Metal and record an album from one of my bands.
After put the strings on the bass, I've played a bit to stretch them, only after one day playing I started recording.
The sound. Well, the sound is just insane, that typical metallic sound of new strings is agressive and ideal for Metal music. When I turned the distortion on, the sound was aggressive and harsh as ever.
After that I've recorded with them for about 5 days, 8 hours a day. During that time I've never been with great concern to clear the string sweat. After that extreme usage they still have that metallic/new sound.
One thing that I find important in strings in general is how long does that new strings sound last? Well this ones last a little more than some other that I've played.

Pros
Agressive sound, if you are into Metal, this is your weapon.
Great new sound durability.
With this strings my bass hardly detune.

Cons
Maybe the price, but they worth every cent.

Not bad

I suppose the quality is great as Ernie Ball always is. Long lasting, and all... But honestly wasn't my style. I felt like the sound was neither especially bright or especially warm. Somewhere in the middle, almost like D'addario strings. Didn't feel as great in my hand either. I'd much prefer to use nickel slinky.

Nice sound but rusted very quickly
Vorath 11.07.2021
As per the title, i liked the sound of these string, they really have a "growl" that i enjoy. However, it took around a week before i started seeing the first signs of rust and corrosion on the strings. Now, a month later, they look almost entirely rusted.
That said, they still don't sound dead. They still have a bit more life in them that might seem at a glance, somehow.
The rusting might have been exacerbated by very humid weather in my region recently, but i also installed normal nickel coated strings on another bass at the same time as these (different brand) and those string are still in very good condition with no sign of rusting.

Pros:
- nice aggressive "growly" sound
- still sound ok even after rusting

Cons:
- rusted super quickly
