Review of Ernie Ball M-Steel string.
cpbrockwell 14.11.2020
These electric guitar strings (mine is the 9-42) are fitted in the normal fashion and do have quite a bright sound, and work a little better with my EMG pickups. I can't say I've detected much difference in their playability. Thomanns of course delivered swiftly. If you want to give the a try, go for it!

Be careful

Really good strings, but the Maraging core on the three lower strings is plagued by Barkhausen noise. My guess is that no regular pickup will ever sense any of this.
But on the finest dead quiet noiseless pups this might be a problem.
With my Kinmans the barkhausen noise was so annoying that I had to throw away this product in less than one hour.

Switched to Thomastik Infeld super brights and got comparable sound and quality with zero collateral issues.

Mehr magnetischer Einfluß bedeutet mehr Klang
BurkhardH 30.09.2014

Consigliate!
