Great strings...
Anonymous 30.08.2015
If you're buying a bass from Thomann and you don't want to bother with stock strings, order these at the same time.

It's a nice, slinky, great sounding bass string.

It's a good choice for beginners wanting to train their fingers without necessarily having the strength to terminate thicker strings against the frets, in my humble opinion...

I have two basses equipped with these strings. I have an old, double humbucking Peavey thru neck that I have modified, and a Mexican Fender Jazz. They sound excellent on both, particularly the Fender. Lovely mid - range punch. Great for casual funky jams.

This is quite a bright sounding string, so if you're looking for a truly rumbling sound, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a string that feels light and has a 'twangy punch', look no further.

N
Exactly the sound I was after
Nadz 06.08.2015
These might not be everyone's cup of tea, but for the chimey sound I was trying to achieve, these are perfect. I needed something tight, clear (glassy, if that makes sense?) with pronounced mids and more defined top-end. I'm into players like Justin Chancellor and Les Claypool who seem to have a very particular sound.

I'm not a Bass player in the traditional sense, though I use a Bass regularly to record my music with, so I was initially at a loss as to what kind of strings to go for to get the sound I wanted. I described my needs to a Bass player friend of mine who recommended these and Hi-Beams.
Having tried both sets out, I definitely prefer these. They just seem to have that bit more bite to them, but with a light feel that is easier for my fingers to get around.

I really enjoy playing my Bass with these strings, they're easy to get used to for someone who is used to playing guitar, and they sound amazing! Even made my Squier Jaguar Bass sound great. :)

These strings are a game changer. So I used them now with a Harley Benton JB-20 BM Standard Series(a cheap bass) but oh my god. The strings are a phenomenal choice for anybody seeking a vibrant and versatile tone. These strings offer superb playability and durability, making them ideal for both live performances and studio recordings. The light gauge of the strings provides effortless bending and comfortable finger movements, enabling swift transitions across the fretboard. The balanced sound of the 2835 Extra Slinky strings ensures a rich low-end with clear highs, allowing for exceptional tonal articulation. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, these strings deliver exceptional quality and performance, making them a top-notch choice for any bassist.

Perfect Strings for Every Bass Guitar
Biagio 03.09.2019
I've been using Ernie Ball strings for the last 10 years playing italian rock, 80s dance, hard rock and metal in different sets (110-55; 105-50; 100-45; 95-45).
Set exlusively on long scale bass-guitars, I always found and got the right sound for every song and every bassline.
I would never change.
