Ich bin absoluter Fan von guten v30 Boxen für modernen Metal (Mesa, Bogner etc), war jedoch für mein Studio auf der Suche nach etwas mit ein wenig mehr "vintage" Character, wichtig war mir jedoch, dass auch moderne High Gain Sounds gut repräsentiert werden...eine Alternative zu meinen v30 Boxen eben.
Die EVH macht genau das, schön "smooth" klingende High Gain Sounds mit sauberem Bass und ordentlich Definition.
Vor allem die "cremigen" Mitten dieser Box helfen im Mix ungemein, ohne den Gitarrensound zu aufdringlich werden zu lassen.
Vom Character her erinnern mich die EVH am ehesten an Greenbacks, das kleine Dustcap macht die Mikrofonierung wesentlich leichter als das z.B. bei t75 der Fall ist.
Die Verarbeitung lässt keine Wünsche offen.
