Growl...
Robert F. 353 30.04.2014
Strung my passive Warwick 5 (Fretted, rosewood) with these strings yesterday. They seem to be settling nicely, not too much variation in tuning when I played today.

The .115 gauge B string is a little more taught, allowing more options for buzzless/flopless tone down low; this was the point, for me, of buying this set. The tension is just right.

Sound - Pretty good. Solid bottom end, with sizzle and tang in the mids - which is easily dialed out using the EQ. Great strings for rock, metal, funk, and easily adaptable through your kit, for jazz, folk, country type-sounds. Having said that, they'll be best when bedded in at least a month, for the softer sounds. Great slap tone, plenty of growl and sass. Sustain is a little less than, say, D'addarios or DRs, but you still have plenty to play with. The output is a little low compared to GHS, D'addario or DR.

Construction - Pretty good, again. Not the most comfortable strings I've played, definitely not as smooth as EXP coated or DRs - but not aggressive on the fingertips. They're a little inflexible, which I notice while stringing, but no hard task.
Great value for money, so far. Any breakages will be reported in updates.

Strings that don't quit!
Lupercio 23.05.2017
These strings are smooth on the fingers and have a rich full crispy sound trough the amp. I've been using them through the years for performances, recordings, and of course for all the hours practicing and they sound so good and are so reliable that I keep buying them again and again. They sound better and last longer than other more expensive strings that I used to buy. I always recommend this strings to my students and to my colleagues. You definitely get a lot of quality and for that price is a steal!

Nice strings
ArisSwitzerland 30.08.2024
I use them for drop d tuning on my 4 string bass, 0.115 D, i keep the .100 for my 2nd bass tuned standart and .80 A, .60 D, .40 G, love the tension,

I wish brightness could last longer or if they were cheaper so i could change every 3 to 5 weeks.

Acierto seguro buscando buena relación calidad/precio.
Francisco J. R. 16.11.2012
