Great looking pick-guard, great quality.. it would look great on my bass, but it doesn't fit on my fender jazz bass professional 1.
pick-guard was about 1 up to 2 mm shorter in part where pick-guard meets control plate. after i have instal it, you could see wires from pickups.

Useful to give your Jazz Bass an elegant vintage vibe

I used this pickguard in the past to make a recent Standard mexican Jazz Bass, which came with a standard 3-ply white pickguard, a little more interesting for the eye and for the vibe of the instrument overall. It did fit the instrument just perfect, also making it look quite better in my opinion, being it a black body bass, it now seems a lot like an early 60s vintage model type. This Fender original purple tortoise pickguard just looks classy

It fits...but....

Went straight on to my 2021 USA Fender Performer without issues. All the screw holes line up and the neck fit is good. However, there is a gap (around 1.5 mm) where it fits up against the control plate. Not a huge issue really but if you're picky like me, you might have an issue with it.

Great quality and fit!
Anonymous 14.12.2014
This pick-guard is a great fit for my 2007 Fender Jazz. I've bought cheaper pick-guards in the past and struggled with awkward fits and bad finishes, the original Fender pick-guards can't be beaten for quality and fit. The tortoise shell finish is dark and deep with the classic vintage look. This is definitely worth spending a little extra on.
