Fender Buck Owens
Dhjango 06.03.2025
This guitar straight out of the box had an unplayable action.
After a lot of fettling the neck was adjusted via the truss rod and the concave neck was straightened. Thereafter the bridge saddles had to be adjusted for hight. On completion of the adjustments, the guitar played and sounded like a good telecaster. I would say that the finish was excellent, however the frets would have benefitted from a little smoothing at the ends. These little things would have made the guitar refined and playable straight out of the case. Nowadays even Fender Custom shop production guitars need fine tuning. I would score the Buck Owens high overall.
