amazing,
Saru 25.11.2020
I bought this as it had so many effects and Amp types built into it,
the app works nicely occasionally i have to reboot the amp, not sure if its a software bug but this is a minimal inconvenience.
The sound quality is very good, the effect options are many, i use with the GTX-7 foot switch and it works perfectly. Does everything i need, due to the USB i record direct to my PC with no real issues, for me i found this AMP very good especially for the price.

Beautiful tones & great functionality at a good price.
SurfingBear 15.04.2023
I really like the GTX50. Can't believe digital got this good this quickly at this price. Easy to use and to get your tone. Presets are useable right out of the box and you can very easily tweak them to your taste, either on the amp or with the well designed app. I haven'tried it in a practice room or on stage, but I have no doubts it plenty loud.

I'm a couch surfer and play mostly clean / dirty-clean. The Mustang GTX50 offers many GREAT clean tones from different amp models (not just one clean amp and many overdriven/distorted amps like it's direct competitor the Boss Katana). There must be 15 or so Fender amp models in it. Fox and Marshall too. I tend to use the '65 Twin, Princeton and Dual Showman. Haven't explored the many, many overdriven/gain amp models.

Many types and versions of effects too. I mostly use reverb, trem and delay so haven't really explored that part of it. It's got wifi, bluetooth, aux microphone and headphone, effects loop and USB connectivity. Come on now. A package you can't beat at that price.

The $80 foot switch (extra) really completes it. It's very handy.

MF
Feature-full adn high quality modelling amp
Maurizio Firmani 05.11.2021
Excellent modelling amp, great hardware (the Celestion loudspeaker really makes its mark!), high quality sound and equipped with all the features a guitarist may need, from beginning to expert level. The only flaws I can underline:
1) its a little bit difficult to set without Fender Tone App, expecially some settings buried deep in the menu, like bias, sag, noise gate, ecc...
2) some features (like looper) can be used only with the GTX7 footswitch, just optional for Mustang GTX50.
3) the user manual doesn't show all the power-features in depth, you have to rely on user community to find answers to some questions.

Great amp for home use
m33n 09.11.2021
I've had this amp for about a year and half now, together with the GTX-7 footswitch. And for my use, at home in the livingroom, it is a very nice amp indeed. And it probably saved me a lot of money that would otherwise have been spent on too many pedals.
I especially like the Fender amp sounds. To me they sound quite close to the amps they are modelled to imitate. They valve/tube purists out there will probably hear imperfections I can't though.

I really have no complaints at all on the sound or the feature set of the amp. It is a very well built amp that will probably take quite a bit of beating.

It's a perfect amp to use in a home situation if sound levels are a concern. The fact that you have a master volume means you can crank the volume on the amp model, and still play at volumes lower than normal speaking level. And if you need to use headphones, you will get a very nice stereo image too.

Generally I'm very happy with the amp.

But, there has not been a firmware update since 15.11.2021. Which coincidentally was the day after I received mine. Since then...nada. That does not exactly make me feel confident that Fender is actively maintaining the firmware any longer. There are _always_ things to improve in software.

Fender does actively update and maintain the Fender Tone companion app. Anything else would be a complete show stopper for this amp. It is a vital part of the user experience. Setting up everything using the tiny display on the amp itself is doable, but about as user friendly as etching the full works of shakespare into a piece of slate.

Also, it's a bit disappointing that the amp (and the footswitch) require the Fender EXP-1 if you want to use an expression pedal with the built-in effects. And that pedal can't be used with anything else.

I can highly recommend this amp. But make sure to get the footswitch too! It makes a huge difference.
