I acquired this case in combo with my second XR18 unit. I was amazed at the build quality of this little case.
All 3 of my XR18s reside in rack cases amongst the rest of the gear. That said, I wasted no time figuring the best use for it.
All my DI boxes are Radial. The little "Pro" series and "Stage bugs" are always on stage and getting banged-up, but I'm more protective of the higher end models. My "Phazer" units, the Stereo J48s and JDI Duplexes which I use mostly closer to the gear racks and around the booth are now permanent residents of this case.
The case holds 10 units, and I'm on the cusp of acquiring another XR18 unit with this case. The XR unit is also going into a rack, and the new Flyht Pro for it case will also start housing some newly acquired "upper crust" Radial DIs and a pair of cable testers.
I highly recommend the XR18-sized Flyht Pro cases. Whether for protecting a lone XR18 or for the smaller yet expensive "Swiss army knife" types of items such as higher end DIs, cable testers, Large and fragile condenser mics purchased without a decent box for protection.
Setting up a gig, all my musicians get warned... "Break my connectors, or the stage-bugs, I'll forgive you, scratch my Jensen-loaded DIs or Phazers, I'll setup your appointment with a casket "
Now that all reading these lines have a fair idea of how much I care for what lives inside the Flyht Pro case I own, and the stuff going into the next one I'll be ordering soon, I'm quite certain that the case for this case, (Pun intended) is demonstrated.
In conclusion: Get one, and I can bet it wont be the last.
