Best bang for buck power supply
Angelito 07.09.2017
As the title says, I believe this is definitely the best bang for buck power supply you can get with 8+ connectors on it, without spending a lot of money on other better known brands.

Expanding on that though, the power supply comes with all the leads you could possibly need (with the exception of a UK power lead, although these are easily found), build quality to rival any bigger brand and it's so small it can fit under pretty much any pedal board, mine being a Pedaltrain Junior board.

This is kind of a long term review as well as I have had this power supply for over a year now and even leaving my pedal board in the boot of my car in the winter and using it as the only power supply for all my pedals, which I use every time I practice or play, this being a few times a week for extended hours this power supply has not died or degraded in any way. In fact my board has been knocked around so much I've had to remount my pedals several times but through low temperatures, knocks and even testing dead pedals it has soldiered on flawlessly whereas my previous cheap Amazon ones are all dead.

So in conclusion, if you are looking to connect around 8+ pedals, or more than 5 really, then this is a great option that I would highly recommend, it will not let you down (at least it hasn't let me down), it is solidly built, has higher voltage outputs (I haven't used however) and comes in cheaper than many power supplies with less outputs and I trust it with some very expensive pedals and it has never let me down or broken anything and the leads themselves are also pretty common to find should any ever break, although like I said mine is still like new.

Would highly recommend this product.

Ok, if you?re not pushing it
Jevatro 08.03.2018
I have owned this pedal power unit for a couple of years now. It was ok at the beginning, when it didn?t have to power a lot of pedals, and they were all simple 100mA boss-like pedals. After a while, the pedal collection grew, and some of them were replaced by more demanding ones like strymons.

That?s where the GBus8 starts to stagger. A very nasty noise/hum appeared every time I played. At this time, also the power cord, the ones that?s permanently attached to the power unit, started to come off. I had to secure it with duct tape from showing bare wire.

Ultimately, I upgraded the Gbus8 to a pedal power with isolated outputs, and now I?m hum-free!

Conclusion: the Gbus8 is ok as long as you don?t push it and don?t touch it. If you want to power high demand pedals and are on the road a lot, buy something else.

Noise control
nodrog2008 27.09.2017
There is something to be said about isolating electrical components from each other especially in different locations in the world. Not all power sources are the same. I like to use lots of effects when I'm being creative but they all produce a certain amount of noise. This can be annoying and frustrating playing live and in the studio. The gator G bus is the best product to trust at this price point.
I've been using it for a while now and it does the job amazingly well. Highly recommended.

where else will you get such a product??
John773 17.06.2013
local music shops in london and brighton all gave me wrong advice ..'oh yes, you can run a 18v chorus pedal on a 9v adaptor'..hmm, only if you make it sound awful !..they couldnt even order a suitable adaptor, but one call to thomann, and three days later, my pedal board is now perfect!
the adaptor itself is prety well bombproof.. black, cast steel, rugged outputs for lots of BOTH 9v and 18v pedals(DO please try to get all 9v pedals, it does make life easier!!)
the only minor grumble i might make is that the lead that goes from the(separate) 240v power adaptor into the steel gator unit is rather flimsy, i can imagine my great sausage- like hands breaking it very easily! (gator, please note,!)
i will try to replace it eventually if possible.
the gator G bus 8 has allowed me to get a nice neat case for my four pedals(tuner, chorus, overdrive and reverb) without having to mess about with batteries, little boxes, plugging in everything every time i want to use it.. its great ! i'd thoroughly recommend it.
it arrived promptly, and very well packaged in a stout box and enough bubblewrap to package ME..
it was prced significantly lower than local shops offered it at-but they couldnt get it anyway!!
well done Thomann!
