Far from perfect...
joseneves 11.12.2020
I bought it to play at home.
It looks good, and it sounds good, but when I looked closer, particularly on the neck of the model I got, the finishing is far from perfect.
On the part where the nut joins the neck, it has irregular surface finishing; On the lower part of the neck (bridge side), the fretboard has minor scratches on its sides, and the fretboard surface has some irregularities, like it was randomly rasped on some places, it also has minor traces of glue marks visible near some frets, also one nut control is a bit bent.
Those are cosmetic flaws, they bothered me, but don't interfere with playing the instrument.
Plus the metal screws are so soft, they will get damaged at the slightest contact with a screwdriver. One of the bridge screws was particularly stuck and its head got destroyed just for doing that string's intonation. Very, very bad material.
Another thing that bothered me, was one fret that came a bit higher than it should, causing fret buzz near the 12th fret on the lower E string; That one was a very unpleasant surprise; I solved that partially on the setup, but because of that, the action had to be set a bit higher than desired.
I kept it, to save me the hassle of sending it back, and because I really liked its design.
After a long setup, it plays nice, and serves the purpose, but honestly, I wouldn't buy it again, not with all those issues.

I expected better quality.
Daniel Kolik 15.12.2020
I have been using this guitar for a week now.
First impressions were positive. The guitar is beautiful and overall the finish is well done.
Great sound. But over time, I noticed flaws. The headstock is covered with a very thick layer of varnish. On my guitar, the varnish even cracked at the junction with the nut. Also I've never seen such shabby strings on a new guitar. They look like they've been played for years. The chatter on the sixth string upset most of all. And this is despite the fact that the strings are high enough. Very low quality metal. It literally crumbles after contact with a screwdriver.
If you are going to buy this guitar, pay attention to the fact that it is really heavy and very unusual in shape. This makes playing sitting rather uncomfortable. Maybe you just need to get used to it. If it weren't for the rattle on the 6th string, I would have put 4 stars instead of 3.

Impressive, beautiful, amazing!

Anyone who's a Ghost fan will recognize this beauty as Hagstroms take on the Gibson RD shape, and it's probably the most affordable version of that guitar you can get nowadays. Is it good? Absolutely!

So besides being inspired by the RD, the neck is very much like a les paul, which for a rhythm player like me is awesome. It might not be my 1st choice for a shredder guitar, but even then it would probably do the job just fine.
The nut is cut to absolute perfection! No fret buzz, no intonation issues, neck is set nice and straight and the action is perfect. The pickups are also surprisingly good! I thought about possibly replacing them with some Seymor Duncans or EMGs, but I don't think I'll need to. They sound like they're built for hard rock style riffs, but will also do great on classic, thrash or even death metal. They're pretty saturated by themselves so watch your gain!

As for the drawbacks, while there are few I believe they're worth noting. Firstly, the coil tap does not sound good at all. It introduces a lot of bad noise and and I'd honestly never use it for recording. The tuners arrived a bit inconsistently tightened, so tuning one string was buttery smooth, another one might have taken a bit of force and on a guitar at this price range, I'd expect a bit better.

Overall, great freaking guitar and I would recommend to anyone!

My favorite guitar
Garnoo 10.02.2021
This is the 5th shovel in my collection and it's an absolute joy to play. The neck is very comfortable, the guitar is fairly light, the pickups sound badass and it has tonal options galore (with a split-coil option on each individual pickup). The white makes it pop beautifully and the shape is truly something special. This is the perfect guitar if you want "something else" that's badass and will get you noticed
