Best Protection In Lightweight Case
BillDL 23.09.2021
If you find that normal hardcases are heavy and awkward to carry around, but you want more protection than a padded gig bag, then this lightweight case is the answer. It is made from very rigid foam all around the sides, has strong foam padding on the top and bottom, and is covered with heavy duty fabric. The inside is lined with nice plush velvet material and the accessories space with a lid is big enough for tuners, capos, and probably also a strap. It balances well and the handle is comfortable. Priced at only £29 UK pounds, this is cheaper than all good gig bags I hasve bought and is an absolute bargain. I bought it for my new Harley Benton Custom Line CLD-41SE WN and it is a perfect fit. All my other standard dreadnaught acoustic guitars fit perfectly in it, but it would always be wise to check the dimensions firts to make sure. TIP: the smell from the foam is quite stong. If you leave the case open for a few days the small goes away.

LS
Suitable guitar case
Love Style O 31.07.2023
On 30 July 2023, I compared prices of this Harley Benton LightCase-Dreadnought and the Thomann Acoustic-Steel Gigbag Premium.

Harley Benton LightCase-Dreadnought (item n. 511119)—€55.
Thomann Acoustic-Steel Gigbag Premium (item n. 243810)—€39.

This case costs a bit more than a good gig bag, but offers much better protection.

I use it for my auditorium Baton Rouge AR31C/ACE steel string guitar (item n. 462642). Microfiber cloths from my local supermarket provide padding. The internal storage box holds the backpack straps, a set of strings, a capo, a Snapz Bridge Pin Puller Tool (item n. 357738), plectrums, and truss rod adjustment wrench. The guitar strap (item n. 472539) fits in a space under the headstock. An A4 notebook will fit in the outside pocket, but not much else. The nylon exterior copes with moderate wear, but splinters and sharp objects will fray the material.

Overall, it's light and will protect a guitar from light knocks and bumps. There isn't a better case at this price.
