Great value budget synthetic strings

Bought for students. Excellent budget alternative to more expensive brands. Useful for lessening the harshness of metal strings on cheaper instruments. Break-in period (before pitch stability is achieved) is longer than for some of the more modern synthetic strings, but not longer compared to others.

Violin strings sound cheap and well

I tried these strings on my new Chinese violin. It was also bought from Thomann. Cause I'm no expert, couldn't find any complaints from this HB string set. There are two E strings just in case some one tries to be a Paganini.

Cordes de bonne facture, montées sur un violon Stentor Student I. Le résultat est nettement meilleur qu'avec les cordes d'origine bien sûr, par contre je n'ai pas encore comparé avec des cordes genre dominant ou crystal. À suivre donc, mais me semble un bon choix à ce prix !

Beim Aufziehen riss direkt eine E-Saite obwohl die Spannung noch deutlich vom Ziel entfernt war. Der Satz klingt unausgewogen, die übrige E-Saite klang harsch und kratzig. Die Saiten reagieren unsauber auf schnelles Spiel und Saitenwechsel und produzieren keinen schönen Ton, sie klingen metallisch und indirekt. Lieber etwas mehr Geld in die Hand nehmen und gleich etwas Vernünftiges kaufen. Das spart Frust.
