A great little stand for mic'ing low down sources. being able to angle the stand is great for mic'ing small amps and kick drums. It will struggle with heavy microphones but I've found it to be great with standard kick drum mic's and md421's. It's built really well as expected from hercules.
I prefer using this to the round base version as the ability to angle the stand is great.

Well made but I guess it is mostly for guitar cabinets, with light mics.
I use it for the kick drum, and ... well it works for the outside kick mic, but there are better out there for this job.

Small mic stand

This is a very good mic stand, Hercules stands are outstanding, easy to use and fairly cheap.
I personally bought two of them and i use them for mic-ing cabinets or kick drum mics. The clamp is so ingenious, you can fit any microphone without having to change the nut.
Pros : small , sturdy , reliable, portable , cheap, outstanding quality
Cons :the stand is not very tall so if you want to raise it up to a big 4x12 on the top speakers, it might be an issue.

the Hercules Stands Mic Stand Short Quik-N-EZ is a very versatile stand for micing up amps or kick drums. it is very adjustable and it folds down neatly taking up minimal space. it is handy that it comes with a spring clip to hold any type of mic. it is very stable even with a heavy mic attached.
