C
Hohner get it right.
Crumbo 12.11.2015
Having returned to the Hohner fold after years of playing Hering harmonicas, (and one disastrous encounter with a Suzuki chromatic) I was interested to see how the CX12 stood comparison with my instrument of choice, the Chromonica 270 which I have already reviewed elsewhere on this site. The first impression was one of size. The instrument flares at the rear to a greater extent than I am used to. Not a problem but surprising at first. The construction of the front of the instrument is a real improvement on the traditional screwed-on slide, and is remarkably easy to dismantle for cleaning. It plays beautifully, and is far lighter to blow than a 270. Only problem for me is that, being physically bigger, it won't fit in the slots in my harmonica case which are designed for 270s! Small price to pay for a real leap forward in harmonica design.

HARMONICA CX12 A HARMONICA CX12 A
Jean626 16.05.2019
The sound is great, it resembles the diato. The tonality of A is interesting for playing easily in Bm, in A, in D, or in E. To play in the styles ROCK, POP, COUNTRY, or FOLK, it is the complement perfect for the CX12 in C. The all-plastic manufacturing is a little weak! The zipper is noisy (handle gently)

After I bought the same model in G major many years ago and was very happy with it, I have now bought an A major model and am very happy with it again. What I particularly like: After a long period of use, the slider and the outer shell can be removed in just a few steps and the harmonica can be dried very well in the room air. The outer shell can then be easily cleaned when washing dishes. These were also reasons why I appreciate this model so much.
