When I ordered this machine at Thomann I did my research thoroughly. And I must say expectations came out. The only downside is that I knew the real Zener from Chandler which costs almost twice. Is it the same? Almost. Is it bad? Not at all ! As a matter of effect it's worth the price range. If you are looking for a compressor on drums or bass it's a great machine. On a master? There it stops for me. As critical as I am I don't thinks this ads the twang I would want on a master. It colors to much and different. But this color on drums or bass does its thing. There a numerous settings to explore with all their own purposes. Using them in a chain also works on a mono signal, first some peak limiting followed by compression. But even there I know there is something better for me out there. Not stereo but mono in the same price range. Then there comes this moment to make a choice. I almost say with pain in my hearth I send it back. I know for sure this is a machine that will find its way. It's that good. I am looking for more which means I need to compromise in sound or settle for a single channel with that quality I'm looking for .....or spend twice the budget which means getting the Zener.
