Noise Filter

ELACIN Ear Protection Filter-9 has a lower insulation value and is suitable for musicians who produce music "out of their heads" such as singers and brass players. With a higher insulation, the musicians lose control of the music.

The sound spectrum is also fully preserved with the high insulation - the sound reproduction remains natural. In contrast to conventional types of hearing protection, the ear can not be closed when the filter is worn.

The change of the filter elements is easily carried out by the user. Within seconds, an ELACIN hearing protection filter-25 becomes an ELACIN hearing protection filter-15 or hearing protection filter-9 with correspondingly lower insulation values.

From the undistorted sound reproduction in spite of hearing protection, the people who are regularly exposed to high noise levels, but who still need to listen carefully; musicians, sound engineers, disc-jockeys, concertgoers, etc.

ELACIN hearing protection filters Otoplastics are shaped as a silicone auditory canal. This is insensitive to damage and is distinguished by its long service life. Due to the perfect fit, this hearing protection plastic does not cause any pressure in the ear canal.

Super Perfect Filters...
Anonymous 13.09.2014
I have been buying these Elacin Ear Protection Filters (minus 9 dB) in 2010 and still use them for gigs on stage, in the studio or at concerts. I am still very happy with them, the sound quality is awesome. It sounds realistic and you can still talk to each other on stage and they are perfect for singing.
I also own the Filters with 15 dB decrease - they are very good, too. They are a bit to sharp for playing on stage but it is easy to change them in case you need more decrease for loud concerts or if you are playing the drums.

I bought these filters to replace a lost one. I have used these for over 15 years & they are the best I have ever used for hearing protection. They don't muffle the sound but just reduce it.The sound is still clear. I use them for Djing & also playing drums.

Not precise enough to play
doran.dragic 02.10.2018
I'm using both 15db and 9db variations of the filter.

I'm OK using 15 variation with loud pop and r'n'b bands. I was hoping I could use the 9db with the jazz bands I play with, but those just not cut off the way I'd like them. I feel like a lot of information is lost in the higher end of the spectrum which make orientation difficult.

9db filters for slight attenuation
Anonymous 03.04.2016
Like sunglasses for your ears!

These filters may not be enough for loud drummers or DJs sitting beside bass bins, but if you're a player who likes to still hear the monitors and feel present in the room, these filters are just right. They take a little bit of volume off, and don't isolate you as much as 15/25 db filters.

Worth buying a couple of sets at different strength. It would be good if they told you clearly what rating they were, especially clearly enough to be read in typical low-light gig conditions, if you keep a few different types.

I love my earplugs. Elacin ones do a much better job at cutting frequencies evenly than any other ones I've tried. Spend the money and do it right, musos. Your ears are too precious!
