Great sound! Love it.

Just got my Jody Jazz Alto HR* 6m and wow what a mouthpiece. Didn't come with ligature or cap but as I knew this when I ordered it, I had already bought a Rico Gold plated H-Lig and cap for around £35, from Amazon, which fits fine. Tried out a couple of reeds, primarily La Voz Medium Soft and the D'Addario Plasticover 2.0. While the La Voz sounded fine, the Plasticover was awesome with this mouthpiece. It gives a great sound straight away across the range on my Yanagisawa A900 and is exactly the sound I wanted, bright and slightly harsh when driven but a full, warm, round sound particularly in the lower register. I'm just getting back into sax, after not playing for a while, and will probably experiment with other reeds and mouthpieces but for now this one knocks my socks off and is less than half the price of the other one I am interested in. So in summary I think it's a good price, great sound, easy to play and more expressive than my other mouthpiece. Comes with a nice protective bag. Shame I had to buy a ligature and cover but at this price it's not unusual. Glad I ordered it.

Took a bit of bedding in but then exceeded expectations

First few days seemed frustrating and I blamed the mouthpiece to the point of considering sending it back!
But I persevered and I’m glad I did. I got used to playing it and it sounds amazing. My teacher has noticed a real improvement in tone.

I love this mouthpiece. When I had to buy a Jazz Mouthpiece, I first went for a Vandoren V16 6M, which is fine, and quite cheaper. However I decided to take a shot at this JodyJazz mouthpiece after trying one I loved on my Tenor Sax, and even though it's not as popular on Alto.

I don't regret it. It's free and easy blowing, it's beautiful, obviously well made and durable, and for the first time I produce a sound I really like to hear out of my saxophone.

On the reeds side, what I like best is to combine this quite bright mouthpiece with slightly darker reeds such as Vandoren V16 2.0. Strength of 2,5 is fine too, though a bit too hard for me.

Very high quality mouthpiece. I am a beginner, so size 6 is a bit too ambitious for me. I'm thinking of taking the same one, only a size smaller. I'm very satisfied.
