Superb quality for a low-height stand

Sturdy, well designed and thought out item. Unlike the DS730B Hercules stand, in K&M 14300 the bottom C-shaped support yoke does NOT interfere with the C/C# pad cup for an alto saxophone which could get bent if contacting the yoke. Another advantage of the K&M stand is that both lower and upper support yokes do not needlessly tilt up, down or sideways. The result is that placing an alto saxophone on the K&M 14300 stand, one needs to exercise much less caution than for Hercules DS730B.

The only point of caution for K&M 14300 is that the center piece (that joins three legs) and the matching end of the tube are both keyed. However, it is still possible to assemble the stand with the tube missing the keyed position, causing a pure friction fit which leads to rotation of the tube in the center piece. In assembly, one should note the keying and match the concave notch on the tube with the convex notch on the center piece.

Does the job!

I just wanted a low budget stand for my sax and stumbled upon this one and thought I'd give a go. I feels quite sturdy and does what it's supposed to do. So far so good!

Necessary but bulky
Toby1978 07.10.2022
Saxes are pretty fragile, so having a stand to set the instrument down is essential. My only complaint is that I wish it was designed so it would fit in the case with the sax so I could take it places easier.

not really stable with the tenor and the part that goes to the _tumb holder_ is always falling off,
really scared to damage my instrument with this stand, what a waste of 30 bucks
