Kala CT-SSRW-TG-C Tenor Ukulele

The Kala CT-SSRW-TG-C Tenor Ukulele is part of Kala's Contour Series, a unique line of ukuleles from the US manufacturer. Solid woods like spruce, mahogany, acacia, or rosewood for the body and neck give every instrument in this range its very own specific sonic characteristics, while at the same time sporting an appearance that will certainly attract attention - any time and anywhere. With its solid spruce top and a solid rosewood body with Venetian cutaway, the CT-SSRW-TG-C model not only delivers a well-rounded and surprisingly full-bodied sound, but also features a very comfortable playing feel thanks to its mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard and 19 nickel silver frets. A set of open-gear machine heads combined with a nut and bridge saddle made from bone ensure clean intonation and reliable tuning stability at the same time.

Tradition meets modernity

The success of Kala - one of the world's leading ukulele manufacturers - is based on high standards of quality that are on display in every price range, making the company a market leader in this segment. The Kala CT-SSRW-TG-C from the Contour series emphasises this once again with its high-quality craftsmanship and the carefully selected types of wood, topped off by small but elegant details such as the purpleheart binding around the top and the two-coloured, eclipse-style rosette that adorns the sound hole. A thin layer of high-gloss finish ensures overall protection of the wood and emphasises the spruce top's wonderfully grained appearance, and to round off the package, the instrument comes from the factory strung with a set of high-quality Aquila Super Nylgut strings.

At the same time, seasoned players can also benefit from this small beauty, which will certainly catch some attention with its powerful and well-rounded sound during acoustic sessions in the living room or during studio recordings.

About Kala

Kala Brand Music Co. is perhaps the world's most recognised ukulele manufacturer. The company was founded by the American Mike Upton in the early 2000s, in his hometown of Petaluma, California. Drawing on his earlier years of living and working in Hawaii, where he developed a deep affinity for the ukulele, Mike's mission was always to create high-quality, yet affordable ukuleles under the Kala brand that would make this instrument accessible to musicians of all backgrounds. This philosophy quickly paid dividends, leading to the rapid growth of Kala's instrument portfolio. The quality and variety of Kala's ukuleles have attracted the attention of many acclaimed artists, including Bakithi Kumalo, Abraham Laboriel Sr., Hutch Hutchinson, Twenty One Pilots, Walk off the Earth, and Eddie Vedder, all of whom are among the proud players of Kala instruments today.

Always the belle of the ball

Like all ukuleles, the Kala CT-SSRW-TG-C doesn't require much space thanks to its compact dimensions, making it a flexibly usable instrument which also can be stowed away in a piece of hand luggage, if needed. The ukulele market has boomed in recent years, and Kala's instruments play a vital role here. As a result, users count on high quality from Kala ukuleles - an expectation the CT-SSRW-TG-C effortlessly meets, proving itself to be a reliable and attractive companion for the discerning player. This little beauty also comes with a sturdy gig bag for safe storage and easy transport.
