A
A really good clarinet stand

I've bought a few of these - they don't wear out, I just have more than one clarinet. They're very stable, because of the four legs, and the fact that they put the clarinet bell very low to the floor.

They fold up easily, and are small and light to take with you. You could store it in the bell of your clarinet, in the case, if it's a Bb, though I'd probably want to put a thin cloth between them, or pack something under it, like cotton wool, so it couldn't move.

I'm using these stands for a Bb, two Cs and a small Eb clarinet. The bell of the Bb swallows the curved base of the stand, the Cs just about cover it, and the Eb sits on it, with a bit showing around the bell. They all fit it well, though.

Feels flimsy, but surprisingly sturdy

The stand legs look very thin when deployed, particularly at the connection to the portion which sits inside the bell. However they are metal, not plastic, and therefore unlikely to snap. The legs fold up on a screw-in base, then slot in to the hollow bell portion, which then stores in the clarinet bell; the bell is then completely filled by the stand when in the clarinet case, so you will want to clean/dry the bell before storing.
It takes less than 15 seconds to put the stand up and down.
This is an ideal stand for orchestral/ band players as it is small enough to sit by a chair without looking obtrusive. It is very stable for this use.
If on a stage where people might bump into it, I'd probably want something with a bit more stability (but therefore bigger and not able to store in the bell!).

Good stand, not perfect though.

I purchased this as a replacement for a previous version that was lost. First thing, it does fit in the bell of the clarinet, however is a bit too big to just stay in the bell, so it does protude slightly into the bottom joint. This is fine if you have a BAM case or similar as there is lots of room. I doubt if you were using a small case eg a Yamaha single case it would fit.
I have found that it is not as stable as my previous one, and it can be quite easy to knock it over. Having said that, take good care and you will be fine!
