Great first synth at greater price!

This little Korg Monologue is the perfect first synth. It has all the basic features a good synth needs and the sounds are just awesome! It would be nice to have some reverb in it but ofcourse you just connect a nice reverb pedal to it and have a blast!

The monologue is can produce some wicked analogue synth sounds. 2 vco's for extra fatness, tune up or down an octave and it's a thick lush pad sound. The lowpass filter and highpass resonance are good and it can smooth the bass to soulful or squelch it up to 303 style. The oscilloscope provides visual updates of the waveform and really what's really great for getting to know whats under the hood of sound synthesis. The patch memory and real-time recording of all the encoders along the 16 step chain-able sequencer made this a fun, battery operated, portable, analogue groove machine!
