My favorite drum

I can really say no bad things about this instrument. It feels very well built and after a year now still there is no change in tension on the ropes. It's super fun to play and very versatile. Not only for African music imo.
Really my favorite drum. Because of the sound, the expression and also because it's easy to take on a field-trip and have something fun to play.

Recomendable tanto como juguete decorativo para el salón, como para incluírlo en el set de percusión, ofrece un sonido bueno, las variaciones de graves a agudos y viceversa es una pasada, ofrece la posibilidad de golpearlo con diferentes baquetas, mazos o con las manos, diferentes sonidos, todos buenos. Está muy bien fabricado porque es muy sensible a las variaciones de presión, exige concentración para conseguir las variaciones que buscas en el sonido de los golpes.
Si estás pensando incluir uno en tu set, te recomiendo la versión grande, porque los sonidos graves del instrumento me parecen mas interesantes.

O esculpido é muito bonito.
Muito bem acabado, como parece ser costume da Meinl, e leve.
O som é fantástico, muito quentinho e muita dinâmica.
Talvêz tenha menos ataque que os tradicionais, mas também nisso é muito dinâmico.

J'ai longtemps chercher un talking drum solide et avec un son sympa et profond et je l'ai trouvé un peu par hasard ici.
Mein-l est arrivé à conjuguer un bon son et un talking drum solide et bien construit, ni trop artisanal, ni trop industriel. Sa compacité permet de le ballader facilement de scène en scène. Pas toujours facile à jouer, mais comme toutes les percus, il faut un temps d'adaptation , trouver son son et alors... des chouettes solos en vu !
