Als Workshopleiter in Schulen war ich auf der Suche nach robusten und leicht zu transportierenden Djembén. Die Meinl Travel Djembé erfüllt diese Bedingungen optimal. Leicht, robust und der Sound ist für ein Kunststoffdjembé mit Syntetikfell durchaus aktzeptabel. Bass- und Opensound lassen sich klar unterscheiden und klingen auch voll und kräftig. Wer aber auf der Suche nach dem typischen, traditionellen Sound ist, sollte eher zu westafrikanischen Meisterdjembén greifen.
