Nice practice pad
Teet 17.12.2013
The product does exactly what it's supposed to do, giving you a portable way of keeping your chops in shape when on the go. Quality construction and paintwork, as one would righteously expect from a company called Meinl. The pad underneath provides a comfortable, slip-proof base to keep it from running away from your lap.
Lacks a bit on the lower end of sound, but this is a technical problem - there really isn't enough volume for deep bass sound. Another way of using it would be to mount it on a snare stand and using it as a snare in a wooden/cajon setup and playing with nylon brushes. Internal snares/jingles really give a warm and full sound of a snare.

Perfect for parties!
RonanM 09.03.2016
We've all been there. The party winds down and low and behold the guitars come out. Then you spot the drummer in the corner slapping their thighs, clapping their hands, clicking their fingers and generally looking demented.

Then you give them this little Travel Cajon. It's about the size of a pizza box and is a really nice piece of kit. It has a good sound and fits in well when jamming with a few friends.

Short answer, it's great for a little bit of casual nonsense!

Not bad
Nickname Nick 21.05.2019
Maybe my expectations were too high, maybe my memory (when I saw and heard a travel cajon for the first time) was not clear. I didn't expect a big boomy bass, but I guess it's just too flat to really give it a bass feel at all. Just a "snare" or a "muffled" snare. Still will function well for the intended function, and to exercise as well...
