Purchased this drum as a replacement to rewind my 'The Loudest'
45m 20/4 multicore cable on, Well packaged as is normal for Thomanns,
Superb well engineered device, Even with 45m it is still only half full, No instructions included but I found the drum brake which is a nifty device operated by the supplied handle with no protruding knobs or handles, Could do with large casters which I intend fitting but I would happily pay a few more Euros if they came with the drum, Once again a great product at a great price from Thomanns and delivered within 4 days.....

It's difficult to work out how much multicore I managed to wind onto this drum, but I can tell you it's VERY heavy now so I will be fitting heavy duty castors to the drum. It would be good to have heavy duty castors factory fitted since it will always be extremely heavy. Mind your back... filled with cable it needs two people to lift it!

The second flange, which is to allow winding out a tail is very much larger than needed for that, and I would have preferred a much smaller side tail flange or a larger diameter in the side flange.

There is no way to easily fit a multicore connector to the side of the drum which is also sad. Build quality is good, so even heavily loaded I don't expect it to break.

In the past I have always used cable drums from Canford Audio. These are significantly better designed and engineered, but the price reflects that, which is why I bought the Millenium this time! In bang-for-the-buck I'm happy with the drum -- it is good value for money if not the best quality.

Nous avons déjà d'autres enrouleurs de ce genre mais d'une autre marque bien plus reconnue et pourtant si je doit acheter maintenant d'autre enrouleur de genre j'achèterai encore un Millenium AV440 nous en somme très content avec toujours une très bonne qualité prix.

Grundsätzlich super! Aber.....

Ich habe diese stabile Trommel mit einem 50m 32CH Multicore im Einsatz. Hierbei ist die Trommel noch nicht am Limit der "Beladung" - erst bei ca. 3/4 des Nutzbaren Durchmessers.
Ich habe die Trommel mit Rollen nachgerüstet, was die Transportfähigkeit deutlich verbessert.

Einziger massiver Nachteil bzw. Schwachpunkt ist der Feststellmechanismus.
Hierbei wird mit der Beiliegenden Kurbel eine Schraube mit entsprechendem Schlitz und Gummipolster gegen die Trommel geschraubt.
Die Länge dieser Schraube ist so kurz gehalten, dass bei unbedachten Anziehen der Bremse die Schraube bereits vollständig aus dem (Aluminium) Gewinde herausgedreht wird und die Schraube mit Bremse zwischen Rahmen und Trommel verklemmt zwar immer noch bremst - man jedoch beim Versuch die Bremse zu lösen (gerade wenn etwas Stress herrscht oder das Licht nicht so doll ist - faktisch also fast immer) Gefahr läuft das Gewinde im Rahmen zu beschädigen.

Bei mir ist nach einigen gerade noch rechtzeitig bemerkten Vorfällen dieser Art jetzt doch durch einen unwissenden Helfer das Gewinde völlig zerstört worden. Somit kann die Bremse weder vollkommen angezogen noch gelöst werden .... Dies könnte durch eine etwas längere Schraube komplett vermieden werden!

Alles in Allem ein immer noch gutes Produkt, welches seinen Preis Wert ist - allerdings wäre es perfekt, wenn nicht am Falschen Ende (der Schraube) gespart worden wäre....!!!
