S
Most comfortable tenor ever
Shelley 13.08.2013
I bought this recorder after trying out all the other tenor recorders with extra keys including knick as well as straight.
All of them except a Moeck extra keys model were uncomfortable for me to play because of the distances between holes which did not suit my hands. In particular the distances between the 1st and 2nd fingers of my left hand and the 3rd and 4th fingers of my right hand were too great and hurt. This included the Mollenhauer Comfort tenor both knick and straight, the Aura Conservatorium Comfort model, a Kung knick tenor and various Aulos models. I found all the knick models put too much weight on my thumb despite the neck sling.
The only tenor that I found comfortable was the Moeck Rottenburgh extra keys (straight), but it was really expensive and not available at Thomann. So I waited. Then imagine my delight when Thomann introduced the Moeck Flauto Rondo straight tenor with extra keys to its range. I carefully compared it with the Rottenburgh model and concluded that the middle sections of each model were identical! So I ordered the Flauto Rondo and have been very happy with it. It's important to play it in gradually according to the instructions to avoid the block swelling, but that's the case with all new wooden recorders. The clarity of tone is getting better and better and I'm playing it for longer each time.

Jetzt erst angefangen, mit 67 Jahren.
Monica N. 25.10.2013
