Moeck 5443 Ehlert Tenor Recorder

1

Tenor recorder

Ehlert recorders have a range of 2 1/2 octaves. The c sharp 4 (S), f sharp 3 (A) and c sharp 3 (T) can be played without the annoying covering of the sound hole. They are suitable for recorder music of all epochs and styles. Because of their special sound and volume, they also prove themselves in interplay with the piano and other "modern" instruments.

Out of tune
Anonymous 04.04.2023
This recorder is out of tune and therefore hard to play even for a professional recorder player. Not OK for this price point...
I thought I could send it to a builder and have it tuned so I was slow and didn't return it in time - big mistake. It is not possible to fix it as fixing one note will mess with others and overall equilibrium.
I love the idea behind it and see that it could be a great investment, but the execution makes it a fail. Otherwise it has really powerful low notes, takes little air and gives big sound, not too tiring for hands... would be a dream recorder. Shame!
