Sturdy yet lightweight

I’ve had this case for a year and a half and (after taking good care) it still looks almost new despite the white colour! My favourite feature is the adjustable height of the endpin holder, my cello is small for a full size but the endpin holder at full height keeps it very secure. Naturally it needs lifting and re-tightening every now and then but I think that is fair enough given the amount of travelling around London I do every week.

Almost what I expected

This case was almost what I expected. But I didn't get the two adjustable cushions at the bottom as in the picture. I guess they have optimized it with a padded "fork" that you lay the endpin in and then push it up against the cello and lock it. Can't tell if this is better than before but I think I would have preferred the two adjustable pads on the bottom sides ... That construction felt more stable but maybe it was slightly heavier. I didn't get the specific type of handle shown in the picture but the older version with nylon straps. It will certainly work for years before you wear it out, but it's a shame not to get exactly what you see in the picture. It?s light and stable though and I recommend to order the additional shoulder handle that makes the case easier to handle. I will use this case mostly when I travel on trains, subways, cars and busses and when it?s slippy outside in the winter. I also hope it keeps the humidity stable better than a soft case. I would not bring this case on a flight unless you bring it on board. The latches is nice and simple and they have replaced the locking device to tighten the neck with from velcro to a plastic snap lock, which I think is better. Two bow holders. You stick the bow in a pocket and fix it with velcro at the top. It don?t get anywhere. You may want to put a pad or cushion between the scroll and the bottom of the case as a precaution to dampen shocks even more on your cello when running into door frames. It hangs higher on my back then my old softcase do and I think it need to do that to not wobble on your back.
