Works great with my powerbank and can power my HX Stomp
Folkie_Bear 30.04.2023
I am using this adapter with several devices such as Line6 HX Stomp, analog pedalboard, Boss Cube 2, Boss RC 505, etc without any problem. I connect it to my powerbank, Anker PowerCore Essential 20000 to power my devices individually for hours and hours without any noise. The DC plug is compatible with both 2.1mm and 2.5mm center negative devices meaning that no additional cable adapter needed.

If you are planning to use it for USB power adapters, it can be noisy but didn't experience any noise with powebanks.

Excellent product!

Bought this product for my Line 6 G30 wireless system.
The reason why was, that i use my kemper, which has a usb out on the back that can be used to power things. so, i have my Receiver attached to my kemper with this USB kabel. Now i don't have to drag anything extra!

Would definitely advise to buy for use with pedal :)

Portable pedal power
basskebab 15.02.2021
I use this to power a TC Electronics delay pedal from a portable phone power bank. The pedal eats 9V batteries so this is a much easier way to keep it powered. Pedal is part of a portable so no mains power available

Another bonus is that the powerbank lasts a lot longer then a 9V battery. So a really useful cable

Not sure who's fault it is though!
Jokubass 17.03.2024
Bought this for HX Stomp, as the internet suggests it works. I already tried two units - they seem to overheat in like two hours of use with the Stomp. After that, in like several minutes. Tried with a few powerbanks and power adapters that do deliver 5v 2.4a, or more. Also, the usb fit is not tight enough to inspire confidence.
Now the thing is, this Ripcord is rated for 1A, and the Stomp might be drawing bit more than that, which might be why the Ripcord stresses out. Technically, the stomp is rated for 3 amps, so technically it should not work, although many people have success with this. As far as other pedals go, with less current draw, this works perfectly!
The adapter works with 2.1 and 2.5 dc sockets, so regular pedals as well as Line 6.
If you want to power the Stomp, look at USB C power delivery (PD) adaptors and a PD compatible (!) powerbank. Such adaptors tell the powerbank to provide 9v. I found a powerbank that can do 9v 2.2a, which is plenty for the Stomp.
Now, thomann, when I contacted them about the issues I had, just sent me a second unit. Customer experience - excellent!
