Lives up to its name but can be finicky

This MIDI keyboard definitely lives up to its name of giving you "Komplete Kontrol" as there is controls for a lot of things. However, one may struggle getting it up and running on a DAW for various reasons. Driver installation process is very confusing and not all controls are automatically setup for all DAWs meaning you sometimes have to fix the controls manually which can prove quite challenging.

Great idea

I mainly record live instruments, but sometimes when there is no live session musician I need to play a solo of a violin, flute or any other VST instrument with one hand. And at this moment, a small but very solid and high-quality keyboard comes to the rescue! An excellent idea came from the engineers of native instruments to release such a product in an inexpensive market segment. The quality for the money is impeccable. Thank you.

Table-top keys to take anywhere

Komplete Kontrol A25 is well-built small keyboard and midi/USB controller. In the studio, I use it as my "quick keys" for instant editing and sound design and when full 88-piano keys are not needed. Full integration with NI Komplete a big plus. While it is compact, it is actually a bit bulky - so if you are looking for a light mini-keyboard you can take to a cafe or on an airplane - this is not it.
