Pure sound :)

This is a quality tool. You can't hear any surface tapping when using on the gong. It produce very nice pure sound.
I could recomend it to anyone who look for stady and gentel sound. It works nice also on large tibetan bowls.

Excellent soft mallet. I use it with large singing bowls - but it actually works pretty well with smaller bowls (2Kg) too. Would be great on a gong.

Nicely weighted with comfortable handle and satisfying soft attack even with forceful blows

My only criticism is the white lambs wool covering got dirty almost instantly. In hindsight, I would probably get a blue or red version. Or black :-)

Handlich und sehr wertig

Der Gongschlägel 186 ist ein sehr handliches und wertiges Mallet. Geliefert wird er in einem praktischen Stoffbeutel. Ein idealer Schutz vor Staub. Der Schlägel wird bei mir für einen 70er Feng Gong, einen 80er Paiste Sound Creation, einem 90 Tam Tam, sowie wie für einen 90 Meinl Sonnengong benutzt. Er produziert bei sanftem Spiel feine Grundtöne, bei intensiverem Spiel fein justierbare Obertöne. Besonders gefällt mir sein Flachfell aus Fleece, welches kaum ein Anschlaggeräusch produziert. Noch mehr Obertöne produziert der Olli Hess Mallet 70. Daher eine ideale Kombination. Allgemein nicht ganz billig- für ein subtiles Spiel im Sitzen aber voll zu empfehlen.
