Good grip but offers no protection for your stand paintjob. If not the main pipe, at least the tightening screw will leave a spot as there is no padding at all. Kind of small, it can just barely wrap around the THINNER pole of my Ultimate support mic stand. Would not use it with bass and 3-legged stands.
