Die Flatwound-Saiten der Embergher Consort überzeugen mit einem vollen weichen Klang. Auf einer anderen Mandoline habe ich die geschliffenen Thomastik-Saiten aufgezogen, die in neuem Zustand ebenfalls einen vollen Klang mit hoher Brillianz erzeugen. Mit zunehmendem Alter bzw. Nutzung klingen die D- und G-Saiten jedoch nach kurzer Zeit zunehmend dumpfer. Embergher Consort hält die Klangqualität über einen längeren Zeitraum aufrecht. Daher uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.
