The two pieces of this low-cost stack aren?t exceptional: a densely perforated crash made of brass (copper + zinc) on top of a densely perforated crash made of 2002 Bronze (92% copper + 8% tin) over. But they work very well together, generating a very dry and harsh sound, with no sign of buzz or overtones. Of course it won?t fit in every music genre (such as mainstream pop rock) but it provides amazing EFX for electronic or exploratory music.
Both cymbals work produxce an interesting sound when played separatley, as fast crashes, and, unexpectedly, they work surprisingly well as exotic hi-hats (although they must be played lightly, because they are much thinner than any hi-hats I ever saw).
