The afforable Strat Killer
M Ploumidis 28.08.2024
I have this guitar for over a year now!
I am really impressed with the build quality and the feel of the guitar. I have done countless recording sessions and it's also my go to guitar for live shows.
The pickups are amazing for this price point. A little bit more midrange and less snap than you would expect out of a Strat Style guitar, but in general it feels more contemporary.
Neck shape is the reason why I bought this. I have big hands, and it fits me like a glove. Neck feels slightly smaller than the Core model though
Even after one year, I am still very excited to pick this up and play.

Great ST-style guitar overall, not recommended for heavier string-gauges
Lundby 14.11.2024
I've had this since march, and used it ALOT, both at home and live. The neck shape is absolutely the best part about this guitar. The smooth neck finish is also a big plus. Although, looking back, I would've probably gone with a rosewood neck instead, both due to aesthetics, and personal preference in feel.

Pickups sound great, and are very dynamic, right on what you'd expect :)

Here come the problems, though..
I use 11's, and have done for a good amount of time. This guitar really isn't built all that well for this.
The bridge gets very noticable grooves, making string breakages at the bridge very common. The frets also wear out insanely fast. Although I play for hours on end every. single. day., so that is a big factor as well, but 11's shed the frets down fast, and I have to get them serviced every 4-6 weeks.

I had a Fender Player Plus 1 prior to this, and overall, for roughly the same price (even cheaper than the Player Plus, I believe) this is a WAY better pick quality wise.

It's really hard to mess up simple guitars, and PRS certainly have NOT messed this up. It's just not suited for every single situation.
