Pyramid 135 Single String bass guitar

I have a very good and professional bass guitar, a Schecter Hellraiser Extreme 5, but my amp, a Crate BTE15 is a cheap one, which does not handle my bass appropriately. So I am always on the look for strings that will give me that sound closer to the sound of when I play through a big amp. Pyramid strings offer me this exactly. They sound new for a long time, they have a very good clarity, they are not floppy, they have no dead spots and additionally there is a great sound resemblance from string to string, especially from the B and E strings to the others, a hard thing to find. I haven't found out yet anything concerning their duration, since I am using them for a couple of months yet, but so far they don't seem to have lost their liveliness at all. There is only one thing that I don't particularly like: it takes some time to lose this out-of-the-box brittleness and treble-y tone, that I can't wait for it to disappear each time I buy new strings.

Das größte Problem war bei mir immer, dass auf meinem 4-Saiter BEAD schlecht und ADGC fast gar nicht funktionierte, da bei einer richtigen Hals und Itonationseinstellung alles schepperte bei meiner 34 Mensur.

Die Pyramids mit 135 105 85 65 waren für mich die Lösung, wobei diese auch preislich sehr schick sind.
Schön straffes Spielgefühl, keine Gummisaiten, für Metalcore sehr gut geeignet. Halten relativ lange so etwa zwischen DR und daddario. Knurrig nicht zu höhen-reich aber trotzdem Stahlsaiten halt.

Ich wollte eine dicke Saite, um auf meinem 4-Saiter zu testen, wie lohnenswert die Umstellung auf BEAD wäre.

Für EAD habe ich die entsprechenden Saiten eines (fast neuen) Rotosound RB50 Satzes (70/90/110) genommen.

Direkt fällt auf, dass die Pyramid deutlich rougher und ungleichmäßiger gearbeitet ist. Sie sieht regelrecht krumm und verbogen aus und einfach grobschlächtig ohne eine richtig ebene, glänzende Oberfläche zu bilden.

Beim Sound setzt sich dieser Eindruck nahtlos fort: Von punch, klarer Artikulation oder sauberem Schwingungsverhalten kann hier nicht die Rede sein! Gegenüber der Rotosound 110er auf B gestimmt kann ich kaum einen Vorteil in höherer tension und besserer Darstellung der Fundamentalfrequenzen feststellen.

Ich kann hier leider absolut keine Empfehlung aussprechen.
