Since i?ve seen these Q-Parts Custom Potiknob Jumbo Skulls I thought about buying them. The only thing that kept me from doing so was the thought: ?You might look a little bit silly. You ain?t 16!? Well I?ve made up my mind and bought the knobs anyway. :)
The knob is delivered in a small plastic box and with it a small allen wrench. The skull looks just beautiful and it?s perfectly made! No sharp edges, no cast marks, a perfect chromium plating all over the surface. The structures such as nose, teeth and even the sutures show in great detail. The product image shown here by thomann really doesn?t do justice to the actual thing!
The knob is fairly heavy and comes with a little removable brass tube in the mounting hole. That way it?ll fit both solid and split poti shafts. By tightening the little allen screw located on top of the skulls head the knob is set and won?t slide.
The dimensions are approximately 1.3 by 0.84 inches.
So far I?m very happy with the new looks of my guitar. :) And it looks cool rather than foolish. :D

So nobody can see them from 50 feet away. So what? They're fun and _you_ know they're there.
They could only be better if the eyes somehow lit up in red.
Pros:
- easy to install
- instantly make your guitar look cooler
- better than chicken-head knobs for showing you where the volume/tone is set.
Cons:
- quality is a little iffy; one of mine just barely holds onto the shaft. Hey, they're cheap and fun.
