This is the only new snare-side (resonant) head that I've found that fits my 1956-1959 era Slingerland chrome-over-brass snare drum. That drum has a wide diameter shell, plus snare beds that bend outwards. The danger with an over-sized head is that the outside diameter of the flesh hoop would be too big, but it fits within the Slingerland stick saver counterhoop. While Aquarian American Vintage heads will fit the batter side of this drum without binding, the flesh hoop is too fat for the snare bed problem described above. I'm really happy with my purchase; thank you Remo, and thank you Thomann.

Perfect for your vintage drums
Matthiasdw 15.10.2023
I have been using Remo drumheads since I started playing drums. Having quite some vintage drums that were oversized it was sometimes frustrating not getting the heads on properly.
Well these heads are a game changer, the collar of the head is a bit oversized so they fit perfectly on vintage oversized drums like old Gretsches.
