I heard only recently about Reverend guitars. I became interested in purchasing a Double Agent because of three reasons: bridge and neck pickup choice (never tried Humbucker and P90 together before); attractive price; promise of very good quality of material and build.
Clean, overdriven and distorted tones are very good. Nearly everyone can find their sweet spot thanks also to the bass contour filter. For classic single coil lovers (e.g., Fender style) removing some bass frequencies makes a P90 and Humbucker a bit more versatile in this respect. Otherwise this guitar delivers very rich, articulate and very fun tones across the board. The roasted maple neck feels great, too, and the profile will work very well for a large number of players including the ones with rather small hands like me. For the price, the attention to details in the build is excellent. Makes you reconsider some details of iconic guitars. For example, why Telecasters don't have a notch showing current setting position on tone and volume knobs like the Double Agent here? In all the guitar is high quality and very well assembled.
It can surprise advanced players and provide excellent vibes for newcomers alike.
