So I've been using for years the Aj3 from vic firth and for the last 2 years I've been using the vater bebop 525.
I bought this pair out of curiosity and I think I will stick to them for some time... I will also buy another pair, so I can have a spare in my stick bag.
Sound wise they are similar with the vater bebop 525 on my ride. The pitch is a bit higher though but the stick definition is awesome…
They are not heavy, and the weight is evenly distributed making them really easy to use with a good amount of rebound.
The pair is really matched, and I am saying that because many pairs I owned in the past had a slight different weight between them.

Nice drum stick with great balance but....

This is a great stick with a good sound and balance, it is just a shame that the wood used is too soft to get a truly articulate ride sound. I would expect this to be used only by jazz or latin players, but with that said, one might only get few good performances out of them before they dull down.
Unfortunately there was an error. Please try again later.
