For Newbies like me, must try this stuff
Boen Tik 05.05.2021
I am not expert for this things. I start playing this types of gear when pandemic forced us to do zoom online meeting. From online meeting, slowly we move to play singing, from singing, to recording. Then beautiful disaster starts.

Buying dbx 286s, buying Rode PodMic, and going to ProCaster, Shure SM7B, until Neumann. And we did not stop, from basic Mic Pre, Compressor to.......

Finally, start to try Rupert Neve products. From basic one like Steinberg UR-RT2 etc ( it is just Rupert Neve touch, not Rupert Neve product )

Now, i am using Neumann TLM 102 ( I prefer 102 rather than 103 ) Rupert Neve 511, and other will arrive too...

Using 500 series, means we need lunch box. So this comes RND R6, super duper solid, a lot of connection choices, it is perfect for newbie for me, so I can choose the connection that I am familiar with.

Experience : I am not expert. I can not say anything about technical or expert stuff. But, the voices being recorded using Rupert Neve Portico 500 series, is just so pleasant in my ears. Really, I am sorry, I could not describe it. But, it is so different, and so pleasant in my ears.

If you are newbie likes me, You must try. It will change your world , hahahaa......

100 stars for Rupert Neve products. Thanks to Rupert Neve. You are awesome. And for sure, your team are awesome too. Your name will be in our heart always.

For Thomann, you are best of the best service , as always. You make my dream come true. Helping customer all over the world who can not find the product in their local , maybe backorder too long or other factors etc

M
Good unit
Matthew3022 10.10.2015
Exceptionally well designed. Works as advertised. The only issue I had was that when I slightly rock it back and forth, it sounds like a bolt or something loose inside. I sent the first unit back because of that, and the next unit I got had the same issue. Perhaps they should let the customer know that it has some moving part inside that sort of resembles a loose bolt. Both of the units I got came with USA power chord connectors -- and I am in Europe. Other than those issues, the unit is great.

Works as intended, no problems which I had with a cheaper 500 series rack.
