Great value pickup!!!

I have used both the Gewa and Realist pickups for cello in the past but this Schatten blows them both away!

Installation is very simple and the pickup stays securely in place without looking awful or being obtrusive. No changes to the instrument are necessary.

The sound is fantastic with great response across all frequencies. It also picks up sound from the body which is great for when I play the cello as a percussion instrument.

For this price you can't go wrong!

Great pickup but needs adjustment to fit

This pickup is very simple to install BUT it may not fit your string spacing on the bridge so adjustment is required. Also, purchasing the pre-amp is ESSENTIAL. The sound quality now that I have adjusted it and matched with the Schatten mini pre-amp is excellent.
