This simple addition slots into the back of the box and adds a bit of boom.
I'm not sure whether it is really worth it!

Good but problematic.
Giulio B. 12.04.2019
I bought this Bass Tube by Schlagwerk for a Tycoon Percussion Cajon.
I have to say that it does the job. From the first moment it's fitted you can hear the difference right away; the bass frequencies are much better, and it helps in separating snare and bass sound.
The problem i had is related to the fitting. I didn't mount it on a Schlagwerk Cajon, but i read that it could fit on any hole of approximately 12 cm.
My Cajon is 12 cm exactly, but still, the Tube wasn't staying on the hole at all, i had to apply some glue anyway.

OK product... but I actually prefer the bass of my Cajon when sticking a blanket inside it!

Mutes the sound rather than boost it
Anonymous 20.02.2015
I bought this thinking it would enhance and boost the bass frequencies of my Schlagwerk Cajon. Rather than boosting the sound it mutes it. This is probably due to the foam around the inner ring. A bit disappointed. It does "tighten" the sound of the drum but everything now sounds compressed and dull.
The quality, like all Schlagwerk gear, is spot on.

Not sure about this

Yes, it gives the bass a bit of oomph. But only a bit, and what you gain in compression you lose in natural sound and decay. Makes your cajon look like a loudspeaker. Overall, probably not worth the money.
