Intermodulation-free handheld transmitter

The Sennheiser SKM 6000 A1-A4 is a professional-grade handheld transmitter compatible with both Sennheiser and Neumann microphone capsules and standard capsule interfaces. Thanks to its intermodulation-free transmission system and equidistant frequency grid system, the SKM 6000 A1-A4 ensures exceptional signal stability even in radio-wave dense environments. Additionally, the handheld transmitter features the "Long Range" (LR) mode and the proprietary SeDAC audio codec found on the legendary Digital 9000 series. The SeDAC codec ensures flawless sound quality and optimum dynamics.

Exceptional transmission quality

The SKM 6000 A1-A4's intermodulation-free design operates flawlessly using an equidistant frequency grid. This results in remarkable spectral efficiency and maximum channel density, achieving truly outstanding transmission quality. Operating within the frequency range of 470MHz to 558MHz, providing an 88MHz bandwidth, the SKM 6000 A1-A4 adheres to AES-256 and Digital 9000 standards for signal encoding. The "Link Density" (LD) mode, coupled with the efficient SePAC audio codec, enables the use of up to five channels per MHz of bandwidth. Additionally, the optional BA 60 lithium-ion battery ensures a runtime of up to 5.5 hours. The SKM 6000 A1-A4 can also be equipped with commercially available batteries.

Sturdy magnesium casing

Handheld transmitters like the Sennheiser SKM 6000 A1-A4 are primarily used in live settings, and require a housing that meets specific durability requirements to effectively safeguard the electronics contained within. The SKM 6000 A1-A4 features a special magnesium casing, ensuring exceptional robustness while remaining lightweight. This design ensures that the entire transmitter system is consistently well-protected, without burdening the user with excessive weight and hindering their performance on stage. Singers, speakers, and presenters with professional demands will find the SKM 6000 A1-A4 to be an ideal companion for their live performances.

About Sennheiser

In June 1945, Prof. Fritz Sennheiser founded the Wennebostel Laboratory, which initially produced measuring equipment. Commissioned by Siemens in 1945, the young company developed the MD-1 microphone, which was launched in 1946. After the development of further microphones, the company was renamed Sennheiser Electronic in 1958. Two years later, Sennheiser introduced the MD 421 dynamic microphone, which is still in production today and still held in high esteem by many sound engineers. Further groundbreaking developments, such as the HD 414 headphones and the MD 441 microphone classic, hugely enhanced the company’s international reputation, eventually making Sennheiser one of the leading manufacturers of microphone and headphone systems in the world.

For Sennheiser and Neumann

When using a standard capsule interface, the powerful SKM 6000 A1-A4 handheld transmitter becomes compatible with numerous Sennheiser and Neumann capsules. Users can choose from Sennheiser's Evolution Wireless, Serie 2000, and Digital 9000 series, as well as Neumann's KK 204 and KK 205 series. With this extensive selection, finding a suitable capsule for every voice and stage setting becomes effortless. Additionally, the transmitter is compatible with the two-channel EK 6042 receiver and the multi-channel EM 9046 receiver in "Long Range" (LR) mode.
