P
Love these pickups
Paul1347 05.09.2017
Another exciting day when these arrived in the post, they arrive wonderfully presented in a plastic box bearing aphoto of the man himself, I had these installed by my local tech guy , a qualified luthier into my 96 Korean epiphone les Paul standard ltd Edition in wine , they were installed with orange drop capacitors and cts pots with some vintage wiring.

They sound great , I play mainly crunchy Rhythm, guns n roses, aerosmith , Joan jet, la guns. I use a Marshall valvestate 8240 stereo or an avt 20 and they sound awesome, it is very easy to set up a crunch and lead tone, the lead tone is super creamy when used with the pickup switch in the rhythm position and it is not hard to get the sweet child tone.

I have also tried these with a joyo British sound amp/cab emulator, this pedal closely mimics the tech 21 British pedal and it can be used through a P.A, studio monitors or the fx return of an amp. In all cases it is just as easy to get a great tone as much as going through an amp conventionally , I am hoping to buy a tech 21 fly rig RK 5 off here soon and I can't wait to try my axe with these in it through that. I would recommend these pickups for playing classic rock through a les Paul type guitar any day, especially if you are a fan. I like them better than the JB and JN I had on another guitar, they seem to suit the type of style I mentioned better, ideal for hollywood, sunset boulevard style sleaze, faster pussycat, guns n roses, bullet boys, Aerosmith, ( well that's Boston but get the idea)
I am so pleased I got these . Now I just need to get my chops in shape.

M
Great tone
Maupo 07.01.2022
Yes, iam a great fan of the man. But I didn’t buy the pickup exclusively because of that. The tone and specially the clarity are amazing without loosing the typical warm sound expected for a Les Paul. Just have in mind that pickup changes isn’t a miracle. To be sure that you gonna get the BEST of it, rewiring your Les Paul is a MUST! Totally satisfied! 5 stars!

Great Pickup Set
Skivo 24.10.2021
Seymour Duncan APH-2S Slash Alnico II Pro ZB is one of the best rock and blues pickup set created and existing on the market. Installed on Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top Pro makes the guitar sounds better then Slash signature models of Epy and Gibson. The tone is incredible, converted the guitar sound to absolutely different level. Love it.

Right on the spot!

There is really very little to say about Seymour Duncan products. You get what you were promised and what you hoped for, if your expectations were correct.

Some argue about how a certain pickup is right or good enough, but they are really discussing about a certain tone and whether they like it or not. Seymour Duncan pickups always deliver the tone and sound they were made to “put out”, so the discussion should be rather focused on what you want, if you know what you want.
The pursuit of your tone is always an experiment and a process. Therefore, I can only say that if you’re experienced enough then these pickups will live up to your expectations.

If not, the search for tone continues. Nothing’s lost, the beauty lies in the winding road till the bells start to ring.

Rock On!
